National Youth Day

The KBS and KMS Learning Resource Centre celebrated National Youth Day (the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda) on January 17, 2023, at 10.30 a.m. Swami Vivekananda urged the youth to educate themselves and emphasised how service should be the focus of their lives. With his inspiring quotes, teaching, and trust in youth, he continues to be a youth icon. He famously said, "Take risks in your life." "If you win, you can lead; if you lose, you can guide."
On this special occasion, KBS and KMS Learning Resource Centre organised an inspiring talk on "Reading in the World of Distractions" by Mr. Amrut Deshmukh (author of the book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Readers"). The session was well-received by the audience who was truly inspired by Mr Deshmukh's experiences and words of wisdom.
MMS 1st year student Mr. Aayush Borulkar wrote the book “,"Not a Love Story," which was launched at the event. Aayush shared his experience and thoughts about his book.
During the event, KBS and KMS Learning Resource Centre announced the best reader award (for the 2021-2013 batch). The library gave prizes and certificates to the students who won the book review and presentation competitions as well.
